Principle 12 (9): Use slow, small Solutions
Try do anything with as little impact as possible. If you have to intervene in your garden, try to find the smallest way possible before trying bigger solutions. When you are first starting to grow food, make a raised bed or two and use containers, then move to larger areas only once you feel confident enough. When you have a pest that’s eating your spinach, try low-impact remedies first, before cause a bigger disruption. Nature knows best, so usually the less we interfere the better. Small and slow is easier to maintain and fix. So always try the smallest possible intervention for the biggest possible effect.
